Alcator C-Mod tokamak by MIT team
Recently MIT team have done on makevt a virtual tour on their tokamak. Tokamak is a device to confine plasma by magnetic field. In other words, only magnetic field keeping the walls to melt away in seconds by the plasma which has temperature over 100 million degrees Celsius. To be in a volcano is like sitting in a fridge in comparison with this.The Alcator C-Mod has the highest magnetic field in the world and the highest pressure of plasma in the world. The goal of tokamaks is to handle the thermonuclear fusion which can change the face of the world energetics in future. The frontier of science. Makevt team feels proud to have a little participation in this, we never imagined that something like this will be done with our service.
